Looking for daycare on Golf Course Road or in DLF Phases 1 to 5? You'll find plenty of choice close to Cyber City. The harder part is matching hours, drop-off logistics and fees to your family. Shortlist by your daily route first, then visit at least three centres.

Who this area suits

Golf Course Road and the DLF phases are among Gurugram's older, established neighbourhoods. The housing mix is wide: independent houses and builder floors in the DLF phases, and high-rise societies along Golf Course Road.

Many parents here work in Cyber City, Udyog Vihar or the offices along Golf Course Road itself. That makes a short commute between home, centre and office realistic. It also means centres here see a lot of full-day, dual-working-parent families.

What fees look like

We don't have a published median for these neighbourhoods specifically. We do know the citywide picture from Kiddenz's Gurgaon listings. The median is about ₹55,400 a year, ranging from roughly ₹16,000 to ₹2 lakh.

Location moves fees a lot. On Kiddenz, Sector 51 has a median of about ₹1.1 lakh, while Sector 92 sits at about ₹32,400. Established, central areas tend to have higher rents, so don't be surprised by quotes towards the upper end of the city range. But ask every centre rather than assuming.

Always ask for the full first-year cost: admission, deposit, meals, transport and late pickup. Our guide to preschool and daycare fees in Gurgaon shows how to add it up.

Types of centres you'll see

You'll meet most kinds of centre here:

  • Centres in houses or builder floors, common in the DLF phases
  • Chains and franchises, often in purpose-fitted buildings
  • Daycares inside or beside high-rise societies
  • Workplace creches linked to some offices nearby

Each can be good. Judge the room your child will use and the adults in it.

The commute to Cyber City and beyond

Being close to the office hubs is the big advantage here. Use it well.

  • Drive the route at the real time. A short distance can still be a slow drive at rush hour.
  • Check the drop-off point. Inner roads in the DLF phases can be narrow. Is there somewhere safe to stop, or will you double-park every morning?
  • Plan the sick-day dash. If the centre calls at noon, who can get there in 20 minutes?
  • Ask about the latest pickup time and the late fee, in writing.

What to check in this area

Use our complete checklist for choosing a daycare on every visit. In this area, give extra attention to a few things.

Centres in houses and builder floors

Many good centres run from converted homes. Ask to see every room your child will use, not just the reception.

  • How are stairs gated? Are balconies and terraces locked or fenced?
  • Where is the second exit if there's a fire?
  • Where do children play outdoors, and is it fully enclosed?
  • How is the kitchen kept separate from play areas?

Society daycares

A daycare inside your society is very convenient. Check the basics anyway.

  • Who runs it: the society, a resident or an outside operator?
  • Does it stay open during school holidays and festivals?
  • Who covers when a caregiver is ill?
  • Are staff background-checked, and can you see the policy?

Our daycare safety checklist has more on what to ask.

Hours and staffing for long days

Full-day care from early morning to evening is common here. Ask how the day is staffed.

  • Do the same teachers stay all day, or is there a later shift?
  • What is the ratio in the late afternoon, when some children have gone home?
  • What do children do in the last hour? A good answer is calm and specific: "Free play and stories in the quiet room, with a snack at 5."

Our guide to teacher-to-child ratios explains what to look for at each age.

A quick plan

  1. Choose a radius around the parent who does most pickups.
  2. Shortlist five or six centres in that radius.
  3. Visit three at a busy time, using the same questions on every visit.
  4. Confirm fees and refund terms in writing.
  5. Do a trial day before you commit.

Frequently asked questions

Are daycares on Golf Course Road expensive?

Fees vary widely, and we don't have a published median for Golf Course Road itself. Citywide, Kiddenz shows a median of about ₹55,400 a year and a range up to about ₹2 lakh. Central areas often sit higher in that range, so ask each centre for the full first-year cost.

Is a daycare in a house safe?

It can be, if it's set up well. Check stair gates, locked balconies and terraces, a clear second exit and an enclosed outdoor space. Ask to see every room your child will use.

Should I pick a daycare near Cyber City or near home?

If one parent does both trips and works on a fixed schedule, near the office can work well. If you work from home some days or share pickups, near home is usually easier. Think about who reaches the centre fastest on a sick day.

Do offices near Golf Course Road have creches?

Some employers run or partner with creches, but it varies by company. Ask your HR team what's available, the age range and how long the waitlist is. Our guide to creche at work in India has more.
